Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IsThisImage.AI website and AI image detection service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

IsThisImage.AI analyzes images you submit and returns a probability score indicating how likely the image was generated or edited by AI, along with per-generator confidence scores. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis and may change over time as we improve our detection models.

2. Detection Results Are Probabilistic

Detection results are confidence scores, not verdicts. No AI detector is perfect: false positives and false negatives can occur, and accuracy may vary with image quality, compression, and the generator used. Results should be treated as one piece of evidence, not conclusive proof, and must not be used as the sole basis for decisions that have legal, financial, employment, academic, or reputational consequences for any person.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account, created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

4. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

• Free tier. Free scans are limited per day and may change at our discretion.
• Paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Upgrades. Plan upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Quota. Unused scan quota does not roll over between billing cycles.
• Price changes. We may change prices with advance notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the images you upload. By submitting an image, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service. Uploaded images are deleted after processing and are never used to train our models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any image you submit.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to process
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person, including publicly accusing someone based solely on a detection score
• Attempt to probe, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service or its detection models
• Circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or access restrictions, including by creating multiple accounts
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, detection models, design, and branding, is owned by IsThisImage.AI and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or technology beyond the limited right to use the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that detection results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IsThisImage.AI and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including decisions made in reliance on detection results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100 if you have not paid us anything.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 5, and 7–9) will survive.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
