This Privacy Policy explains how IsThisImage.AI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and AI image detection service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Images you upload. When you submit an image for analysis, we process it solely to generate a detection result. Uploaded images are processed in memory and deleted after the scan completes. We do not share your images with third parties and we never use them to train our models.
Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this information to create and manage your account.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers; we only keep subscription status and billing records needed to operate your plan.
Usage data. We collect basic usage information such as the number of scans you run, your plan quota, IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This helps us enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service and return detection results for the images you submit
- To create and manage your account and subscription
- To enforce free-tier and plan usage limits and prevent fraud or abuse
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the reliability and performance of the Service
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
3. Image Handling
Images are analyzed automatically and deleted after processing. Detection results (scores) may be retained in aggregate or associated with your account for quota accounting, but the image content itself is not kept. We never use customer uploads to train detection models.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to function — for example, to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent parts of the Service from working.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the Service:
- Google — sign-in authentication (Google OAuth)
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
These providers process your data under their own privacy policies. We share with them only what is necessary to provide their function.
6. Data Retention
We keep account and billing information for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations. Uploaded images are deleted after processing. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account at any time from the account page, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
